Founded by microbiologist Lisa Brand, Pink Plover combines deep scientific understanding with hands-on experience in scaling environmental technologies around the world. With a background spanning microbiology, water quality, and global innovation leadership, Lisa has guided the development of advanced environmental solutions that are now deployed across more than 70 countries.
Pink Plover builds on this foundation to create technologies that protect freshwater, restore ecosystems, and support sustainable development. By merging research, field insights, and entrepreneurial innovation, we aim to deliver ecological and technological breakthroughs that contribute to a healthier, more resilient future for all.

Our Experience
We have guided R&D projects from TRL 1 to TRL 9. We have successfully contributed to and coordinated multiple EU-funded and national innovation projects, including:
- H2020 - SME Instrument: Which brings to the market an innovative desalination technology (Hydrovolta)
- FP6 – Chem-Free: Development of a chemical-free recirculating aquaculture method.
- FP7 – Clearwater PMPC: Coordination of a chemical-free system to control algae in large lakes.
- FP7 – Dronic: Coordination of an unmanned surface vessel for water-quality monitoring, algal hotspot detection, and dynamic control.
- Eurostars – LiceSonic: Chemical-free sealice control for open-sea aquaculture.
- Eurostars – Fish CWUS: Research into chemical-free aquaculture treatment using constructed (vertical) wetlands.
- Multiple national innovation projects in water quality, ecosystem restoration, and environmental monitoring.
